UPDATE: It must be a bad extension, because running Firefox in Safe Mode cleared up the problem. I’ve reenabled the bare essential extensions and things seem okay.

    That happens to me frequently. I tried blaming it on plugins, but after disabling most of them the problem remained.

    Right now I have 3 tabs open and it’s eating up 159 megs.

    I just have to remember to restart it occasionally and swear that I’ll switch to IE7 as soon as they offer adblock.

    I dunno, this just doesn’t seem all that out of the ordinary to me (my Firefox is using 179MB memory right now). Then again, I have 2GB RAM, so I don’t even blink when the main application I happen to be running at the moment is taking a small fraction of it :-/
