See, at least the DirecTV commercial was about DirecTV.
The Chevy commercial had less to do with Chevy than most Coke commercials have to do with Coke.

I’ve grown used to ignoring bland music — years of training.
Simpson’s fake accent, however, is an abomination.

Chevy is probably trying to counter Toyota in the truck category by appealing to “buy American” sentiments. Toyota is coming on strong.

i’m sick of cowboy hats. Damn cowboy-hatting-wearing fools. Every person in that commercial is a drone. Nothing but mindless slaves to an image.
I’m proud that I’ve never purchased an American car. American cars are junk. Cheap parts and poorly built. Let the best product win. I won’t blindly support a product because simply it’s American. It’s ignorant. It’s also harmful in the long run. If Chevy wants my support, then they better start building better cars.

The Chevy commercial drives me insane. At least Jessica is easy on the eyes.

Great choices for bad commercials. The Simpson one for this: You dress and look like that and have the nerve to get pissed because a guy oogles you? Fuck off. The Chevy one has so much cheese one would think they’re at a wine tasting event. Was Jerry Bruckheimer involved with this one? Nice over-saturation of red-neck crap. They might as well have shown Rick Wagner (GM pres) fisting the statue of Liberty while crying and reading the constitution. I hate the Chevy one just a weeee bit more.
