Bloglines, give me this feature

Like most geeks who use RSS, I’m good at subscribing to blogs and not very good at keeping up with them. Consequently, my Bloglines account often looks like this

Fancy Political Blog (200)
Some tech blog (200)
Blog about being a sellout google adsense person (200)

The (200) means 200 unread articles, which is Bloglines’ max per feed. With all that unread crap, I feel really overwhelmed and have to resort to the Mark All Read option. But I have a better idea: just give me the important unread crap.

That’s right. Don’t just tell me about everything I’ve yet to read; tell me only the important things I haven’t read. Cross-reference my unread list with the Technorati linked-to count (or the popularity measure du jour, whatever). That way, I can start with the Rathergates and eventually get down to the missing cat pleas.

In related news, I’m kinda getting sick of Bloglines. Feel free to suggest an alternative with which you’re in love.

Man, “with which” is just terrible there. I love it.

I just go to the sites I like most. I have no bookmarks and am subscribed to no RSS feeds.

It’s good for the upkeep of one’s memory cells. :P
