psst.. this blog is on hiatus.

My mom is on a diet and it sucks

My mom has been watching what she eats for like 3 years now. Seriously. Maybe more—I’ve pretty much lost track. Most people would say, “Hey, that’s great! What determination! What willpower!”

Well, I say, “Hey, there’s nothing to eat in this goddamn house.” For like 3 years it’s been that way! The only thing I can consume here is some Hot Pockets (left over from my trip to the grocery store a few months ago) and maybe an egg. Yeah, an egg. I was thinking of making a hard boiled egg for a snack.

Just hope that your mom doesn’t get on a health food kick, because you’re gonna suffer!

My mother bitches about getting fat all the time, so then she goes to exercise and loses a few pounds. Within that same week, she’ll go buy some ice cream sandwiches, chips, cookies, and other snack foods, eat them mostly on her own (I don’t prefer to eat too many of those kinds of things), bitch about getting fat before, during, AND after eating them, then go exercise again.

It’s an endless cycle, I tell you.

My aunt and cousin used to have very health conscious periods where they would refuse to eat anything that did not meat the calorie/fat/whatever criteria. They would throw out all the sweets and cookies in the house. They would only allow for limited intake of cake on birthdays and special occasion. Bringing ice cream to the house was a deadly offense.

But whenever I went out with my cousin we would always somehow end up at dunkin donuts, starbucks, cold stone or a diner or a fast food joint at some point.

When I visited my aunt at work she would always have candy, cookies or a half eaten donut at her desk.

So at home both of them pretended that they were on a strict diet but as soon as they left the house they would binge on all the crap they refused to eat at home.

    Go figure…

I think your mother IS a determined lady! After 3 years though she could do with support and not critism.
By the sound od it the lady has not got a specific action plan that she follows. By this I mean surely a weight management program would be better suited as opposed to simply starve and exercise.
Some weight management systems actually allow to user to eat what they want! That shouls allow for more than a boiled egg for a snack?

    Thanks for reading my reply

PS At my site I have information on these systems. Go to http://www.bestsellers4you.com (Note: removed hyperlink) enter diet in the search engine and you can access a multitude of free reports that could help. Thank you.
