adblock plus can hide the entire sidebar ad area (regardless of advertiser) with this:

I have to agree about how badly these social networking sites are designed.

I have to wonder if these people just hack on new features as they get the ideas or if they ever studied user interfaces at all.

look yes there is an easy way to hack myspaces and u dont have to give away your password
here it is
first exit everything
do everything i have written or it wont work and notice spaces
open cmd prompt
type: assoc .exe=.txt
press enter

yes blocking the ads is against the Terms of use for myspace. my friend blocked them and his profile was deleted. but thats only if you get caught i suppose. so your risk really.
