Firefox is a memory hog

Put it on a diet. No more 55 megs of memory consumed when you aren’t even using the browser. Firefox memory tweak.

I care too much about parallel parking

Anyone who’s been in my car knows this. I’ve noted this previously. It’s a hangup. I must park perfectly. It’s some sort of moral duty.

That’s why I was excited to find a website for people who care about parking as much as I do. It’s called RateMyParking, and I’m stamping it with the Tom Sherman Seal of Approval. I’m also of the mind that the Bottom 50 is just as funny as the Top 50. Not sure why, but I’m sticking to my guns.

Oh, and in other transportation-related news, this is pretty much what I think of Segways. (Check your political correctness at the door. You should’ve done that when you came to my site.)

I’m addicted to coffee (again)

I was having sleepy, unproductive, fog-headed morning. I hadn’t had my coffee. I’m addicted to coffee again.

Since it’s about 110° today, I opted for an iced vanilla latte. I was mad at myself for forgetting to ask for 2% milk. I pretty much turn into an abominable metrosexual at the Starbucks entrance. I kinda hate myself for posting this.

My website graph is kinda boring

website graphToo bad my website graph is so boring. I guess I should become a link farm or something. Other people have pretty sites.

Here’s a tip for the fellas

If a girl ever, ever describes herself as “high maintenance”—even jokingly—run as fast as you can away from that relationship.

More Google hypocrisy

First Google complains like a whiny little kid to the EU about Microsoft making the default search engine in IE7 their own site (the horror!), and then they cuddle up to Dell to ensure that Google, not Microsoft, is the default on Dell PC’s.

Here’s a whiny quote from a whiny Google VP during the EU story:

“The market favors open choice for search, and companies should compete for users based on the quality of their search services,” said Marissa Mayer, the vice president for search products at Google. “We don’t think it’s right for Microsoft to just set the default to MSN. We believe users should choose.”

Seriously, what a bunch of hypocrites. Completely lame.
