Allergies suck this time of year, I've suffered since I was a tot and use Claritin almost daily with no adverse effects (Allegra makes me dizzy tho). The key to managing seasonal allergies is to nip it in the bud... If you feel like an attack is coming, take a claritin or benadryl or whatever and hop in a hot shower. Give your sinus membranes some time to relax. I find if I try to simply fight through those tingles it ends up being a lot worse -- often ending in a sinus infection or just a prolonged bout with the allergies.

Tom: I USED to have allergies. I had them incredibly bad at your age, but I have basically outgrown them now, and have virtually no problems anymore at age 53. Guess my body finally became immune to the stuff. I found that the "non-drowsy" formulas did not work at all for me, like claritin. Get the kind with pseudophedrine [sudaphed] (now, behind the counter). They actually work!
