Hey, your young and optomistic about the whole world. Stay that way as long as you can and don’t be fooled by liberal or conservative ideals. Believe what you can see. Do you see any problems in discarding sexual perameters? If not fine but I personally do not want to subsudize the costs of the problems people do not acknowledge. Example. What if the teacher gets pregnant. Can the scholboy support her after she is fired. It is acedemic that children without the stability both parants are subject to the winds of confusion. Does the schoolboy have a new manly ego based upon his sexual exploits of an adult woman and authority figure? Has his respect for female teachers been inspired. Will he now focus better upon his studies when in school. What do female students learn from this. I don’t know if you are male or female but you obviously care about things a little more than most so ask questions? I have learned that unbias questions lead to understanding and also challenge my own bias’.

Huh? “I personally do not want to subsudize the costs of the problems people do not acknowledge.” I’m not sure I understand you? Does that mean that you think you will, in some way, be paying out of your pocket for the missteps of these teachers? Or paying in the form of social decay? If so, all I can say is you’re setting yourself up for a lifetime of disappointment. There will always be winners and losers–unless pure communism miraculously starts to work. You’re always going to be subsidizing the costs of other people’s problems. People are always going to have problems. It’s fixed overhead.

Ummm… that if you act inappropriately in a professional setting, you’re going to loose your job and take another step towards being a loser. And that if you’re a very attractive girl, most people (men?) will look past you being a loser.

I think the woman is getting off on the social taboo factor more than anything else. At least, that’s what the expert psychologists say. I just wish I had a teacher stupid enough and bored enough in my grade school to make my pubescent dreams come true. If it wasn’t illegal and there were no jilted husbands, It’s almost a victimless crime. I could be completely wrong, but I’m going to say it… I think the boys involved here are probably none the worse for wear. So my unbiased question echoes Mr. Whitmire’s: Are the boys in these cases really losing anything more that their virginity?

Have to say you are right about subsidization and probably right on about the the boys and the teacher. Yes, I would look past the loser teacher and see the attractive woman but I would never marry her or have real respect for her (I don’t think). Maybe I see her as part of a female collective that I need to respect and she is casting suspicion upon women and teachers. (I have come to believe that in general the female preserves the virtue of soceity and men subvert them. This teacher has problems though).
Hey, I read alot of sites and I consider your views rational and intellegent so your must not be a Liberal. (Question - in saying that I guess I am saying I am qualified to judge others and that is only ok if the one I am judging agrees, hence sombody may be offended if we express a view about anything.

I get really sick of the name-calling from both sides–it’s old. I do see two basic camps, Liberal and Conservative and if you attempt to study the endless variations you will simplify also or write a book, yet there is a third called ‘dazed and confused’. I do not think you are one of the latter, even so I find labels like ‘dicks, pussies and assholes’ as helpful as ‘paper, rock and scissors’ Truth is I couldn’t determine the conclusin but it was very colorful and I guess it somehow supported my view of womans virtue.

(1)better understanding b/w students n teachers,
(2)well.. better grades for students
