True Geek test

Since a previous entry on my level of nerdiness was quite successful, I decided try to follow in Jack’s footsteps (again) and take another of these online quizzes. I think this test is better than the previous one.

The Simple Geek
You answered 67% of the questions as a geek truly would.
You don’t seem to sway in either direction, however you still seem to
have some latent geek attributes within you. Maybe you’re interested in
computers but not a gamer? Maybe you’ve got geek hobbies but none of
the awkward social tendencies. You may be slightly geekier than you
thought and in denial!

The simple geek usually has various quirks that friends may make
fun of, but in general can be considered a fairly normal person. Your
geek attributes make you less likely to conform to society. The popular
kids don’t hate you but the geeks don’t either, so it’s a respectable
demographic.

In a nutshell, you answered enough questions with geek tendencies
and enough questions without geek tendencies that it’s difficult to
pinpoint your exact alignment.

True Geek

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 30% on geekness

But the real proof is in the pudding. Before posting this entry, I edited the (terrible) generated HTML from the quiz and switched <i> to <em>, saved the JPEG locally, and deleted <font> tags. That’s how you know I’m a True Geek: I care too much!

“Taking an inordinate quantity of geek/nerd related online tests” should be the first and only question on this test. Tom, you’d get a 100% and be secure in your extreme dorkatude. Then you could edit that and put a <strong> tag around the whole thing. Maybe drop a little javascript in there–don’t use “onclick” though. And for good measure, throw in some regex (’regular expressions’ to the non-geek layperson).

Haven’t taken this most recent test but all your base are belong to me on the last one:

I think it was higher than it should have been because I was working on a machine that I built with lots of RAM. And I knew the chemistry and who the guys were. Hm.
