Blog search: Technorati vs. Blogdigger

Blog search engines don’t seem to be yet up to the level of general Internet search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Still, you need a blog-specific search engine to navigate the waters, due simply to the fast slew rate of the blogosphere, and the old-fashioned search engines are several steps too slow in indexing. Therefore, I recommend Technorati and Blogdigger. I’d only used the former a few times, but after reading JD’s post Technorati vs. Blogdigger, I’ll be using Blogdigger for keyword searches and Technorati for link tracking.

If you’re inclined to tool around with the wide world of blog tools out there, 90% of which are useless, scoot over to Ari Paparo’s Big List of International Blog Search Engines.

And if you have any personal recommendation in this area, which seems to be a place for lots of development and few hard-and-fast rules, do share here.

Hey man, I’m in LONDON, busy getting lost in these windy streets. Just here for a week, then off to the land of your ancestry, DEUTSCHLAND, for a week on holiday.

    What’s up with you?
