Hi, I’m gullible. Dee Brown and Luther Head do not have food poisoning from a “steak and seafood restaurant.” I totally fell for an April Fool’s stunt by Mike North of WSCR on my favorite radio morning show.
Sadly, I was resigned to something like this happening after the bad luck in ‘89.
Henson’s team might have gone all the way if not for some bad luck. Battle and Hamilton suffered injuries in the regional tournament. Battle slipped on a wet floor in practice and strained a groin muscle before the regional semifinal against Louisville. Hamilton then turned his ankle in the 83-69 victory over Louisville.
Now I’m breathing a big sigh of relief… and I’m more than a little embarrassed. Please take this opportunity to make fun of me!
