Very interesting. Dubai is right there in the heart of anti-western anti-Irael pro-Osama country. And, if I know my world politics and culture, Dubai is one of the most progressive and western-friendly Arab nations. Let’s hope this thing doesn’t become a target for terrorism.

Burj will be nearly twice as big as the current world tallest tower (Taipei 101, 508m tall), by 2010 Dubai is going to be one of the most amezing cities on earth, im pretty sure about that.. Btw, check the diagrams on this page; http://www.burjdubaiskyscraper.com , go on the facts page and there are some. Im really curious how tall Al Burj will be though!
