Mal,

Re #2: It's sad, I know. It's emabarassing. I just hope I'm not turning into a yuppie.

Re #3: Thankfully, I get close to ZERO junk mail at work, and my home e-mail has awesome spam blocking due to the combo of server-side spam blocking (SpamAssassin) and client-side on Thunderbird (Bayesian).

I found these quiet amusing.

1) I can wear sandals or no shoes to work. In fact, I often just kick off the shoes when ever I feel like it. No joke I have taught a large lecture in bare feet. I guess that is the bonus of working in academia.

2) What the @$# are you doing going to Starbucks for coffee everyday. Just think of all the really good coffee you could buy for that price. [Of course I am one of those people who drink 10 cups a day and carry my extra in a mason jar to work.]

3) Something needs to be said about junk mail, you know the Viagra, lower mortgage !$#@. That would certainly make my day better if I never had to see one of those emails in my in box.

4) I would totally love it if one of those advertised items that you use while you sit and the machine works your abs to perfection actually worked.

5) Kids that actually picked up their dirty clothes, dishes, random junk. Yeah that's the life.

6) While we are at it can I wish for a magic wand that will automatically clean my house?

7) Ok so shoot me, I can not come up with 10 at the moment.

6. I wish my Dish Network receiver skipped automatically to my next subscribed channel as I moved forward -

This is becuase your guide is set to view ALL channels, not just subscribed channels.

Solution: Press your guide button - the guide grid is displayed. It shows ALL channels. While looking at the guide, press the Guide button again. It toggles to just subscribed channels. (If your have created "custom" guides, like I have, for just "sports channels", each press of guide goes to the next guide. In anycase, after the proper guide shows, press the clear button to remove the guide from the screen. Now, when you press the up/down channel remote button, you will only go to those channels you set the guide for (in this case, only subscribed channels).
