Firefox copy as plain text

For a long time, the biggest pain in my butt with Firefox was that its copy-and-paste function pasted HTML. That’s handy sometimes but more often annoying. Prime example: I copy text from a Web page into an Outlook e-mail and it pastes in a different font, slightly bigger, which I must then re-highlight in the e-mail and change to something suitable. Ugh.

Solution? Copy plain text, an extension by Jeremy Gillick. So simple, yet so useful. And I highly recommend Jeremy’s other extensions; the fellow seems to have a keen eye for solving ubiquitous and heretofore unanswered problems in simple, straightforward ways. Well, bravo.
