I am trapped in the back seat of my car, choked by the seat belt. It’s pulled so tightly across my body that I can’t move, can’t breathe. Outside, the lush, green corn lines both sides of the two-lane coutry road. My car speeds ahead.
Another car approaches from a side road. I struggle frantically toward the front seat, desperate to avoid a collision. The other car slows, preventing an accident, but my car continues down the road at breakneck speed.
Now there is a new danger. A dead end nears. I escape the seat belt and clamber toward the front seat. I don’t have the time to crawl in; all I can do is dive headfirst at the brake pedal and punch it as hard as I can.
The car screeches and spins to the right, stopping a few feed from the edge of the road. I get out of the car. People start to approach me slowly.
That dream scared the hell out of me.

Is Friday good for you? Yeah? No pressing plans? Okay.
Because seriously, seriously, I’m at the point where I don’t give a shit if Ralph friggin’ Nader wins this election. LET’S HOLD IT EARLY AND BE DONE WITH IT. TOMORROW, PREFERABLY. FRIDAY, IF NEED BE. If I have to wait any longer, I’m going to become America’s 40 millionth consumer of XANAX.

A few months ago, I caught a link from an interesting and curious little Web page: “And We Shall Know Them By Their …. Weblogs?” by Kristin Yates Thomas. She works in the Housing Administration office at Northwestern and gave a presentation on social software and weblogs at Northwestern at the DOSA’s conference.

Liberal bias in the media is a myth, right? So this article from the highly conservative Editor & Publisher must be driven by the big, bad, conservative corporate types who back E&P. Right?
Seriously, if you want truly balanced coverage, you need some of that Slate action!
