Liking the hotel lifestyle… for now
I’ve been staying quite a bit at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza recently in downtown Los Angeles. Downtown LA is a piece of crap, but I dig this hotel thing. For now.
I mentioned the excellent coffee here. It’s got other good stuff too, like:
- Bathrobe (important)
- The TV’s sound piped into the bathroom (blogworthy)
- Free, wireless Internet (my means of posting this)
- A well-equipped gym (actually worked out today)
- A sauna and steam room (have yet to use these)
- Massage rooms (won’t be using these, but I hope the attendants are Asian or Nordic)
- A decent and cheap breakfast delivered to your room as part of the Select Guest program (good way to start your day)
Am I a blogwhore for Omni Hotels? Sure am. I like it here, and I can appreciate the difference between a quality hotel and its mediocre counterpart that can’t match the service but easily matches the price.
So if you’ll stuck in the corporate/indigent wasteland known as Downtown Los Angeles, allow me to wholeheartedly recommend the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza.
