The longest drive ever.
Oh wow. That was like, the worst drive ever. I should have been in Bryn Athyn at 11:00 p.m. I arrived at 1:30 a.m. First, I got stuck in standstill traffic in the middle of Bumblefuck, PA—not once, but twice. I seriously could have gotten out of my car and done some yoga. It was pathetic. A traffic jam in the middle of nowhere? What kinda ghetto shit is that?
I then managed to miss the exit for the Northeast Extension (476), which I failed to realize until I got to Stroudsburg, which is at least 45 minutes past, if not more. I then drove around Stroudsburg and its retarded goddamn triangle Interstate thing for at least an hour, at one point getting so mad that I just started punching the ceiling of my car. Yeah.
In any case, it was an amazingly draining experience. Whew. And the joy of sleeping afterward on a bare mattress with just a pillow—well, it was refreshing. But I’m here, and I’m pretty happy. It’s good to be here. It’s good.
And here is a rough sketch of my route. My planned route is outlined in green, while my actual route is in purple.
