I IS DONE
i’m done. fer real. somehow it was anticlimactic; i proofread my final proposal for Research Design and dropped it off at the anthro building. no feeling of unbridled jubilation as in past years, but i’m ok with that. in any case, i still need to kind of stay in “school mode,” since i’ll be editing my sis’ dissertation and doing background reading on the men’s movement over the next couple of weeks.
i think the measure of how much you like a TV show is whether you’ll structure your day around it. i guess a lot of people do this, whether it’s for CSI, Survivor, the West Wing — whatever. i’m not interested in any of those. one show meets my high standards — Blind Date — and i will structure my day around it. this is the best show on TV, bar fuggin’ none. and don’t you DARE talk to me about the 5th Wheel, Shipmates, Dismissed, or even Elimidate. they are all inferior (especially Dismissed, anna marie. MTV is clueless). and don’t knock it till you’ve tried it, kids. go to tvguide.com and look up the show times of Blind Date in your area. watch it, and tell me you aren’t left feeling masterfully entertained by the show’s conclusion.
