not much to do around here, but that’s ok. i’m ok with relaxing, working a bit, working out a bit, spending too much time on the Internet, eating Fran’s amazing homemade cherry pie, drinking Lady Grey tea, and engaging in the over-the-top nerdiness of thinking throughout of the day about what will go in today’s jotsheet entry.
15 pages edited so far. took longer than it should, but my sis’s thesis is coming along slowly but surely. i’m editing for grammar, spelling, content, and organization. it’s a big task. it’s more time consuming than i thought it would be, but i’m glad i can help her.
i already mentioned a couple weeks back about the clear suckitude of Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, despite the fact that i hadn’t seen it. its crappiness should be obvious to any clear-thinking, red-blooded male. now my suspicions have been confirmed by a delightful article on NRO. a choice quote: “As for me, a man from Mars watching a film from Venus, it was just another reminder that rationality, logic, and a sense of proportion had long since fled this unapologetically manipulative piece of hokum.”
ah yes, annoying liberals. they’re like those German cockroaches that are so hard to get rid of. first they go messing with the Pledge of Allegiance. hm. yeah, i bet that’ll sit well with the Supreme Court, not to mention the American public.
closer to home, allow me to discuss a cute little group of lefties called the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center. aw man, these kids are the best. first off, they call it “Urbana-Champaign,” which, in my book, is grounds for a paint-the-ground-red assbeating. they’ve got a program on WEFT (a radio station) at like 5:30 p.m. that throws around commie cliches like a gaggle of Berkeley Lesbians at a G8 protest. in the canned little intro to the show, i actually burst out laughing when some 19 year-old trust fund-socialist proudly proclaimed, “i want to agitate for revolution.” aww man. that was the best. and the age-old claims about the media being conservatively biased? oh boy, just busts me up. great ab workout, i tell ya.
