back in Ev, IL
i’m back in Evanston. i drove up tonight, making it to Chapin for some of the second half of the championship game. too bad about Indiana.
My nephew Devon’s birthday was today — he’s 5. he’s getting to that fabulous age where he loves to play with action figures and hunt aliens and do all-around cool shit. man, i still love action figures. i wanted to open up half his toys and play with them. i got him this Transformers Beast Machines Cheetor, which is big enough to be a small dog. it’s fuggin awesome. oh, by the way, you might want to check out my sis’s Web site (i fixed it up a bit on Easter :)
anyway, i think i should probably sum up Winter Quarter 2002. it’s going to be short, because i’m tired. here goes:
Looking back on Winter Quarter 2002
overall, it was ok. it started out good. i got pissed off at the Republican crew after the convention, so i didn’t hang around with them as much. Ben and i got to be really good friends, i think, and i’m excited about living with him next year. i visited him in Chucktown a couple of times. hmm. work was pretty good — not as exciting or fresh as Fall Quarter, but still enjoyable. i have a lot of responsibility there, and i enjoy that. i think Staci trusts me quite a bit. i look forward to working there next year. my classes were pretty lame. it was really tough at the end, when Grandma died, and all my work piled up. i got through it, but it was stressful for a stretch there. i got most of the shitty anthro distros out of the way this quarter, so i’m hoping Spring Quarter will be more enjoyable.
hmm. is that enough?
