i have decided that John Madden is a great guy. i mean, the guy’s hilarious and so down to Earth too. i love ‘im. he’s right up there with Bill O’Reilly. i’m going to actually a buy a book (!!!) by him and read it for pleasure.

this no-cable TV thing is really getting frustrated. i didn’t get out of work until 6:20, but with no cable at home, i rushed over to Norris to try to watch the Illinois-OSU game on ESPN. well, no go. too many other people were already watching other stuff. then i check the score online and we’re down by 15 at halftime. what the hell. what the HELL? this team SUCKS on the road. i can’t stand the thought of turning on a cable TV sports show and someone saying “what’s happened to Illinois?”

it’s 7:35 p.m. and i’m sitting in Norris updating my Web site. in 25 minutes, our NUCR event starts — Star Parker is the speaker. don’t worry; i don’t really know who she is either. Mary predicts 30 attendees. it’d be a miracle if we got 50.

well, 25 people showed up. i was close.

i am not a patient man, nor am i one prone to groveling. therefore, this will end. i really didn’t care all that much anyway.
