well, things here at underscorebleach.net aren’t so good at the moment. that’s because my normal server, for some reason, isn’t up. i’m not at home, so i can’t fix it, and because it isn’t connected to the net, i can’t ssh in and potentially fix things.

ahhh. first day of classes. it’s been over six months since i was in a class. didja know that? well now you do. and it felt a little weird, honestly — especially getting back into academic mode where bullshit words like “performativity” (?!) rule. but i can deal.
last night, i dropped the 300-level German class i was gonna take and opted instead for Intro to Computer Programming. i hope it was a good decision. i like German a lot, mind you, but i think a minor in it would be useless, and besides, i’m scared of taking a 300-level German class after not speaking deutsch for 6+ months.
more good news. Ameritech FINALLY got their shit together and got my phone line working. thus, this update comes to you straight from my L-adjacent apartment via NU modem pool-dialup.
and lastly, on Saturday, my beloved Illini scorched the Louisville Cardinals 34-10. even more amazingly, the Bears rallied for a rousing 17-10 victory over those cocky Vikings. Cris Carter, screw you. you got what you deserve. stop crying on the sideline.
