BOO-YA.
2 1/2 point underdogs? I don’t think so. My Illini trashed them Cal Golden Bears, 44-17, and whoo-ee it was a good time to watch (while it was still a game, anyway) [video highlights from WCIA]. Brandon Lloyd put the hurt on the Cal CBs, who thought they could man-up on the the UI wideouts and bunch up 8 or 9 on the line to stop the run. They were successful in stopping the run, but we lit them up in the air, and it was 38-7 at the half. This makes me even more excited for the football season, which should be interesting because there is a lot of parity in the Big Ten this year.
