disclaimer: i am a total loser.

    >>  my dope-ass sunglasses

a-ha. the sunglasses search is over. no, i don’t understand either. but i spent a good deal of time looking for a pair of $10 glasses. oh yes, i visited the Gap, A&F, Aeropostale (all excellent stores, ha), Bigfoot (a gas station — high class), Target (home of hot girls), TJ Max, Gordman’s, Kohl’s, Sunglass Hut, Pacific Sunwear, Structure, The Buckle… and where did i finally purchase my shades? why, Walgreen’s, of course! i have a purchased a quality accessory. let me explain further…

these quality shades are “Designer” brand — not “a” designer brand, but THE “Designer” brand. they set me back a solid $7.99, but don’t be fooled; they “compare” to $16.00 sunglasses — the label says so (see picture). they feature a “hug tight comfort temple.” they meet ANSI Z80.3 special purpose UV requirements, blocking 99% UVB and 60% UVA. they are item #862214, style #095, UPC #049022101906. they are distributed by East West Distributing Co., headquartered in Deerfield, IL 60015-4681 (in case you’d like to request product information), and they were made in China, a sure sign of quality.

all this retarded, pointless description is making my self-esteem lower.

but anyway, you know you want to see them. (especially you, deja)

and tomorrow, it’s the canoe trip with dad, cindy, dan, malinda, christy, and brad. should be fun!

well, today was a sit-in-front-of-the-computer-all-day day. i’d like to minimize those. but i suppose i did accomplish something…

taking a page out of milo v’s site, i reconfigured the CSS setup on this site. it works like this…

instead of using a single, site-wide CSS file like a lot of people do, i decided to change things so that each page would use *2* CSS pages. one of these CSS files determines the colors of the page, and the other is a site-wide file defining font properties, DIVs, etc. this way, i can have the same basic setup on different pages and different color schemes by using a different CSS colors file.

FWIW, nickd said this can all be done with PHP if/then statements, but a) i dunno PHP, and b) i dunno if it’d actually be any more efficient. i’m sure i’ll discover something more efficient in the future, but this’ll have to do for now.

so this is kinda the skeleton setup for a page on my site… (no i’m not gonna type the tags correctly)
