politics

the primary purpose of a government is to provide for the security of its citizens. any policy extending the power of the government beyond this essential maxim needs to be critically examined.

i believe in small government. i think government fucks things up. it's inefficient. government has no incentive to be efficient. think what would happen if government funcitoned like a private corporation... it'd be shut down faster than you can say "lawbreaker." that's why we need to focus on free trade; a small, limited, efficient government; and preservation of personal rights.

incentive is the beauty of capitalism. capitalism is efficient and fair because it lets the unbiased mechanism of the market determine success. in constrast, communism is about artificial control, and that is why it inevitably fails, no matter what the leftist profs may think. they may entertain utopian fantasies of marx and engels, but the real world has proved communism wrong. many have died to prove this. find me a more spectacular example of failure than the former soviet union.

i personally believe in traditional values, but i find it difficult to put these values into government. let the people makes their own decisions, and never persecute people for going against the grain. this is why i hate political correctness.

government should be about freedom, which includes providing for the security of people, without which they could not truly live in freedom. this is why anarchy is such a naive and unworkable system: the "freedom" of the masses becomes their imprisonment.

i believe the republican party has the best ideas for america. i specifically support their advocacy of small government, low taxes, and private investment. i think public schools are inefficient and lack incentive. i think vouchers are a great idea. i think liberals are scared of vouchers because vouchers would weaken one of their mainstays of propaganda: public schools.

i do not believe in handouts. i believe in workfare, not welfare, the way fdr himself saw it.

i believe the liberals of today have corrupted and distorted the civil rights movement. i believe conservatives today represent the civil rights movement of the '60s and liberals today advocate a leftism reminiscent of self-serving communism. i hate affirmative action.
